Harry is currently studying for a masters degree in music at the University of Plymouth after having first began his banjo journey at 16 as a giant Mumford and Sons fan.
Harry's taste and style has since evolved alongside my passion for Clawhammer banjo. Genres he enjoys interpreting for Clawhammer include; Americana, English Folk, Shanties and Celtic music. However, Harry is happy to tackle any song that a student wishes to learn.
Additionally, Harry has a good grounding in Scruggs style banjo and can set a student on the right track to further their learning in Bluegrass.
Harry has previous experience teaching instrumental lessons in schools, Harry is fully DBS checked and has a first class honours degree in music which he completed in 2024.
Harry welcomes students of any age for lessons and firmly believes that it's never too late to start playing an instrument!
After establishing a good grounding in basic technique lessons will be tailored to suit students musical interests.
Lessons are taught from Harry's home just outside of Plymouth and are £25 an hour. He can travel to you for lessons for a negotiable rate depending on distance.
Happy picking!
Every lesson is tailored to fit your specific needs and learning pace.
